Turn a Mollie settlement CSV into totals per payout, method and currency.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Mollie export. Column names and the yyyy-mm-dd date come from Mollie's Settlement Report documentation, which gives its CSV headers in English and says they are in Dutch for NL accounts. This tool reads only the English headers. Mollie states no sign rule and no formula tying Amount to Settlement amount, so nothing is checked and amounts are summed as written. Consumer names, bank accounts and BICs are never read. This is not tax advice.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Checks the documented English columns, the dates, currencies and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.
Amount, refunded amount and settlement amount for each settlement reference, split by payment method and currency.
Questions
Which file do I use?
In the Mollie Dashboard, open Reports, then Settlements, and export the settlement as CSV. Drop one or many.
Does it read Dutch headers?
No. Mollie writes the CSV headers in Dutch for NL accounts and in English for other markets. This tool reads the English headers and says so if it finds something else.
Why are there settings?
Number style, delimiter and text encoding are not declared by the file, so you tell the tool. Nothing is guessed.
Why no checks?
Mollie documents the columns but no rule for signs and no formula tying Amount to Settlement amount. The tool adds each column as written and never adds amounts in different currencies together.
