Remove background
Makes the background transparent. The first use downloads about 16 MB of model files, not your photo. Result is capped at 768px on the longest side; always review edges before publishing.
Resize and crop
Set one side and the other follows. Set both for an exact size (center crop). Includes ID and passport photo sizes (35 x 45 mm, 2 x 2 in at 300 dpi). Remove the background first and choose the white-background option for ID photos. For official head-size checks and a print sheet, use the Passport Photo Maker.

How it works
1. Add a photo
Drop one photo, including iPhone HEIC. It is read on your device and never uploaded.
2. Fix it
Remove the background, resize or crop to an exact or social-media size, rotate, flip and adjust. Each step applies to the same photo.
3. Download
Save as JPG, PNG or WebP, at the quality or file size you choose. Camera details and GPS location are not copied into the new file.

Is my photo uploaded?
No. All editing happens in your browser on your device. The background-removal model files download to your device; your photo never leaves it.
How good is the background removal?
It uses a small on-device model. It works best with one clear subject that stands out from the background. Hair, fur, glass and fine edges can come out rough - review the result. It is not a professional hair-matting service and does not guarantee passport or ID-photo compliance.
What are the limits?
One photo at a time, up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels. Background removal results are capped at 768px on the longest side. For exact passport photos with official checks, use the Passport Photo Maker. For batch resizing many files into one ZIP, use the Image Resizer.
